Overlays & captions
Overlays are the things you lay on top of the animation — captions, your logo, and little data panels. Add them from the overlay toolbar under the preview. You can have up to five overlays at once.
Every overlay can be positioned on a 3×3 grid (corners, edges, center), resized, placed in front of or behind the design, and given an enter/exit animation (Fade, Slide, Pop, Rotate, or Typewriter for text). Drag an overlay in the preview to move it, or drag its bar on the timeline to set when it appears.
Text caption (free)
Add a line of text — a product name, a price, a call to action.
- Font — six built-in typefaces: Inter, Space Mono, Anton, Playfair Display, Caveat and Pacifico.
- Style — bold, italic, underline (where the font supports it), color and size.
- Label background (Pro) — put a shape behind the text: rectangle, pill, parallelogram, a tape/banner, or an outline, with your own fill color, opacity and padding.
- 3-D depth (Pro) — give the letters an extruded, layered look.
Logo / image (Pro)
Drop a PNG or JPG — your logo or a badge — onto the video, sized and positioned however you like.
Data overlays (Pro)
Three overlays pull live information from the design itself:
- Info — the stitch count, number of colors and the size.
- Palette — a legend of the thread colors used, with swatches and names.
- Color track — a live indicator that shows the current thread color as the design stitches in.
The wording of these ("Stitches", "Colors", "Size") follows the content language you choose for the export, so you can make English clips even if your app is in German.
